Question 1

What is Lion's Mane extract and what do the capsules contain?

Accepted Answer

Each capsule contains 450mg of Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) fruiting body extract, produced through a 1:1 hot water extraction process. Two capsules daily delivers 900mg total. This whole-profile extract preserves the mushroom's whole-profile of compounds, including hericenones, beta-glucans, and polyphenols. No fillers, no grain substrate, no flow agents.

Question 2

How many Lion's Mane capsules should I take per day?

Accepted Answer

We recommend two capsules daily (900mg total), taken with water in the morning on an empty stomach. Many people find consistent daily use works best as part of a regular routine. Each pouch contains 60 capsules, providing a full 30-day supply at the recommended serving.

Question 3

What compounds are in your Lion's Mane capsules?

Accepted Answer

Our Lion's Mane extract contains naturally occurring hericenones, beta-glucans, and polyphenols, all verified through third-party testing. Each batch is analysed for compound content and purity, with full Certificates of Analysis available. We use 100% fruiting body extract with no mycelium on grain, fillers, or starch.

Question 4

How are the capsules different from Lion's Mane powder?

Accepted Answer

Both formats contain the same 1:1 hot water extracted Lion's Mane from 100% fruiting bodies. Capsules offer convenience and precise dosing at 450mg per capsule, making them ideal for on-the-go use. The powder format offers flexible dosing and easy integration into drinks and recipes. The extract is identical in both formats.

Question 5

Are your Lion's Mane capsules third-party tested?

Accepted Answer

Yes. No batch is released without an independent laboratory report in ISO 17025-accredited laboratories for beta-glucan content, active compounds, heavy metals, microbial contamination, and starch presence. Full Certificates of Analysis are available for each batch, so you know exactly what is in the capsule.

Question 6

Does Lion's Mane have any side effects?

Accepted Answer

Lion's Mane is generally well-tolerated. Some people report mild digestive discomfort when starting, which typically resolves within a few days. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking prescription medication, consult your healthcare provider before use. Our extract contains no additives, fillers, or common allergens.

Question 7

When is the best time to take Lion's Mane?

Accepted Answer

Most people take Lion's Mane in the morning on an empty stomach. This is our recommended approach. It can also be taken with food if you experience any initial digestive sensitivity. Consistency matters more than exact timing - choose a time that fits your routine and stick with it.

Question 8

How long does Lion's Mane take to work?

Accepted Answer

Individual experiences vary. Some people notice a difference within 1-2 weeks of consistent daily use; for others it takes 4-8 weeks. Lion's Mane is not a stimulant - there is no immediate effect like caffeine. As with most functional mushroom extracts, sustained daily use is more relevant than any single dose.

Question 9

What is the difference between Lion's Mane mycelium and fruiting body?

Accepted Answer

The fruiting body is the visible mushroom. Mycelium is the root-like network that grows through soil or, in supplement production, typically through grain. Mycelium-on-grain products contain both mycelium and a significant amount of the grain substrate - independent testing has shown starch content above 50% in some cases. Our extract uses fruiting body, with no grain substrate in the final product.
